The RPFO and the Provincial Community Steering Committee for the 400th present the kit for the accreditation of community activities for the 400th

January 14th, 2013 – The Franco-Ontarian Heritage Network (RPFO), designated organisation of community liaison and coordination and the Provincial Community Steering Committee for the 400th are proud to announce that the kit for the accreditation of community activities for the 400th is now temporarily available on the RPFO’s Web Site at www.rpfo.ca.

 The official 400th Web Site: www.400ontario.ca will be online by mid-February and the accreditation forms will be available to be filled directly online on this site.

The accreditation framework for the community commemorations of 400 years of the French presence in Ontario, as developed by the Provincial Community Steering Committee for the 400th, is intended to ensure that community activities organized across the province are consistent with the vision and priorities of the Community Strategic Framework for the 400th.

The community activities for the 400th must take place between January 1, 2013, and September 30, 2015, in keeping with this Community Strategic Framework.

Therefore, the groups and organisations that will have the accreditation for their activities for the 400th will be able to:

  • be displayed as an official 400th activity and use the official logo of the 400th ;
  • be part of the official program of the 400th and enjoy all the promotion campaigns of the 400th program for free;
  • obtain support for the development of strategic partnerships related to their 400th  accredited activity and,
  • seek guidance in their search for funding of their 400th accredited activity.

Information sessions on the accreditation framework for the 400th for groups and organizations will take place in several areas of the province from February to April 2013. A schedule confirming dates and locations will be published by the end of January 2013.
